The 5k run will start at 8am in the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic church (on Leesville road) parking lot and proceed through local neighborhoods before looping back around and back toward the church. Baby joggers are permitted. No pets, bicycles, skates, or skateboards allowed. Race starts at 8am rain or shine, results will be posted at www.fsseries.com. The 1/2 mile fun run will begin at 8:45am.

This year’s Run Walk & Roll will be filled with fun and excitement for the whole family! We will have prizes for the fastest runners, best team costume, & the team that has the highest fundraising total. All children will receive a medal for their participation. There will be entertainment, games, a Community Expo with products and services for people with special needs. A celebrity guest will be greeting everyone too! The Race for the Cure celebrates survivorship; honors those who have lost their battle, and most importantly, raise funds and awareness for the fight against this life threatening disease. Race Basics The 2012 Komen NC Triangle Race for the Cure® will be held Saturday, June 9 at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, even in the event of inclement weather. The Race is a 5k (3.1 miles), we also offer a 1 mile walk.
