All funds raised by the event benefit the mission of The Haven, an established non-profit with a 68-year legacy of providing programs and services for children and adults with disabilities. Sanctioned by the Manasota Track Club, this family-friendly road race is for every athlete and every fitness goal. Starting at The Haven’s beautiful campus nestled on 32-acres of lush Florida scenery, participants will experience a smooth course under the canopy of oak trees. A special Thank you to the Fry Family Foundation for donating $20 for every finisher for this year’s race! The Haven is aiming to have over 700 participants! Join us on Saturday December 3, 2022 for a Sarasota holiday tradition. Be sure to sign up before race day, as the entry fee will increase the day of the race.

Back for the lucky 13th year! Saturday, December 17, 2022. Starting and finishing at Twin Lakes Park, Sarasota, through the adjacent neighborhood. We will be using the same wide-open road course as the past three years, no grass or paths, all asphalt surfaces for a smooth, fast course.

As part of our commitment to the health & safety of our participants, race crew, volunteers and spectators, we will implement procedures and protocols commensurate with public health situations and based on guidance from local, national and international health agencies.

In the event we are unable to hold the Frosty 5K in person, you can transfer to the Virtual Frosty 5K or select to use the credit for the amount of the registration fee (not including the online processing fee) on a future Active Suncoast event. Please know that we will endeavor to hold the Frosty 5K in person with the adaptive strategies we have been employing to continue our in-person events but sometimes circumstances are beyond our control.

If you can't join us in-person, you can register for the Virtual Frosty 5K and still get your Frosty on virtually anywhere! And do it any time between December 10th and December 31st to submit your own Virtual Frosty 5K results online. Your Virtual Frosty 5K race packet will be mailed the week of December 11th as long as you register before December 9th. After the 9th, Virtual Frosty 5K packets will be mailed as our hectic race week schedule and long lines at the post office permit.

This is a Foster Care Awareness Event. In-person and virtual racing options are available. The Kids' Fun Run starts at 8:30am. The 5K will be on a CHIP START between 9-9:05am. You will receive an official chip time and place. Master and Overall timed at gun time 9am. USATF Rules. More than just a race, the Superhero race brings together child welfare agencies and the community to highlight the 1500+ youth who are in local foster care in Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto Counties, while providing a family-friendly event with music, a kiddie zone, food, and giveaways.
